B.J. Arun
Chairman and Co-Founder, Evergrid

B.J. Arun co-founded Evergrid and now serves as Chairman. He brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the enterprise technical computing industry. B.J. co-founded California Digital in 1994 and also set up India's first Linux only company, California Digital India Private Limited, as a wholly owned subsidiary in 1999. In 2004, California Digital deployed the fastest supercomputer, Thunder, in North America and Europe at the Lawrence Livermore National Labs. Prior to founding California Digital, B.J. held marketing positions at Micronics Computers, a leader in the design and manufacture of high end X86 based motherboards.

B.J. holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Bangalore University.


John W. Jarve
Managing Director, Menlo Ventures

John Jarve joined Menlo Ventures in 1985. Over the past 22 years, John has led Menlo's investments in more than 40 portfolio companies, primarily in the communications, storage, semiconductor, Internet and financial technology sectors. His recent investments and board seats include: Cavium Networks, Centrality Communications, DiVitas Networks, Finaplex, Matisse Networks, MobiTV, NetContinuum and PowerReviews. John was a lead venture investor in the following public companies that achieved successful initial public offerings: Ascend Communications (now part of Lucent), Digital Insight, FaxSav, iBasis, SpectraLink , Syntellect (now part of Enghouse Systems) and UUNET Technologies (now part of Verizon).

John is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering) and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.). He is a member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board, a trustee of the Crystal Springs Uplands School, and a former trustee of the Corporation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Mark Leslie
Managing Director, Leslie Ventures

Mark Leslie is the managing director of Leslie Ventures, a private investment company, in addition to his work as a lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mark was the founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VERITAS Software. During his tenure as Chief Executive Officer, the company went from 12 employees to 5,500 employees deployed globally, and from a revenue base of $95,000 per year to $1.5 billion per year. In 2000 VERITAS was the tenth largest independent software company by revenue, third largest by market capitalization, and achieved the distinction of becoming a Fortune 1000 company. Prior to VERITAS, Mark served as President and Chief Executive Officer of two Silicon Valley high-tech start up companies and has experience in both engineering and sales in the computer industry.

Mark currently serves on the boards of Network Appliance and a number of privately held high technology corporations, including Cassatt Software, db4objects, Model N Software, SugarCRM and Xsigo Corporation. He also serves on the board of Overseers for the New York University Faculty of Arts and Sciences and is the Chairman of the New York University Science Advisory Board.

Mark received a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and mathematics from New York University and completed Harvard Business School's program for management development.


Ameet Patel
Partner and CTO, Acartha Group

Ameet Patel is a Partner and Chief Technology Officer of Acartha Group and is a Managing Partner of Acartha Technology Partners. Prior to joining Acartha Group, Ameet spent seven years at JPMorgan Chase, most recently as Managing Executive of LabMorgan. Prior to this role, he was Chief Technology Officer of LabMorgan where he provided business and technology direction on their $500MM+ e-finance venture capital portfolio which included Archipelago, MarketAxess, Dealertrack, IntraLinks, Tradeweb, Creditex, RiskMetrics, FxAll, Financial Engines, Kinexus, Yodlee, Tantau, and Home Advisor. Prior to his senior role at JPMorgan, Ameet had a distinguished eight year career at BASF Corporation at its New Jersey headquarters.

Ameet has a M.S. in Computer Engineering, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.B.A. in Finance and Information Technology from Rutgers. Ameet is broadly acknowledged as a technology industry leader and visionary and has been recognized by ComputerWorld's Top 100 IT Leaders in 2004, InfoWorld's Top 25 CTOs in 2001, CIO Magazine's CIO-100 award for innovative business practices in 2001, and Crain's Top 40 under 40 young executives in 2000.


Fred van den Bosch
Chief Executive Officer, Evergrid

Fred van den Bosch is Chief Executive Officer of Evergrid and a member of the board of directors. He brings to the company a wealth of experience in the enterprise software industry. During his 14 year career at VERITAS Software (later acquired by Symantec Corporation), Fred played a key role in the company's success, from a small start-up to a multibillion dollar company, as Executive Vice President of Engineering, Chief Technology Officer and a board member. After leaving VERITAS, he served as Chief Executive Officer of PANTA Systems, a manufacturer of data warehouse appliances. Fred started his career at Stanford Research Institute and also held various engineering and management positions, including Director of Technology, at the Data Systems Division of Philips.

Fred received a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands.
