Load Monitor Resources
Librato Load Monitor
Librato Load Monitor collects fine-grained data for any workload’s resource utilization across CPU, memory, network I/O and storage I/O. Load Monitor requires no modifications to the underlying operating system (OS) or the applications being monitored, and is very lightweight with no measurable impact to system performance.
Librato Load Monitor differentiates itself from other monitoring products with two very powerful capabilities. The first is the ability to associate any running process or thread with a specific application or user running on the system. This allows administrators to solve the long-standing problem of identifying with certainty which users or applications are consuming the most resources. The second unique capability of Librato Load Monitor is the ability to project the amount of system resources an application would have demanded if there were no resource constraints on the application. This “Demand Monitoring” technology provides insight into exactly what an application requires to run at an optimal level.
Librato Load Monitor provides several reports “out of the box” for immediate analysis, and also provides a database that allows all collected data to be easily available to third-party reporting or analysis tools such as Crystal Reports, BMC, or IBM Tivoli.
Librato Load Monitor provides flexible deployment options by supporting Linux and Windows across both physical or virtual server environments.

Key Features
- Collects high-resolution metrics detailing CPU, memory, network I/O, and storage I/O for any process, application, or service. Load Monitor is the only monitor in the industry that enables associating processes or threads to specific applications or users.
- Supports x86 platforms running any combination of Linux, Windows, or virtual server environments.
- Non-invasive and lightweight, no modifications to applications or operating system required and introduces negligible overhead to production systems.
- Seamless upgrade path to Librato Load Manager for comprehensive workload management and control.
Key Benefits
- Improve capacity planning by identifying and eliminating current capacity bottlenecks.
- Gain cost visibility into resource-intensive workloads, applications, or users.
- Profile your application across CPU, memory, network I/O, and storage I/O.
- Provide detailed data for chargeback reporting, granular to specific applications and/or user.
